This course will focus on using video to support the learner-centered classroom. Participants will learn how to curate and create videos to foster flexible pathways for learning completely on the Chromebook. Participants will also learn how their students can create their own videos to demonstrate their knowledge and as well as for self-reflection. The course will dive into creating and editing videos for storytelling, screencasts, flipped classroom, green screen projects, and how-to videos as well how to make educational videos interactive and engaging. We will be using WeVideo, a web-based video editing platform, for the bulk of our course, as well as some few other web-based video platforms. The cost of this course includes a Green Screen kit, a webcam, and a Snowball microphone.

The goal of this course is to provide educators with tools that support the implementation of the learner-centered classroom using video.

None are required to buy. Teachers will be providing Open Education Resources for readings. Each Module will have a research component where participants will be asked to research a topic or strategy to reflect upon and share with the class.
