Location:	Castleton University, Stafford Academic Center, Room 156
Dates and Times:	October 19-November 30, 2019. Four Saturdays from 9 to 4 on October 19, November 2 and November 16. The fourth Saturday will be set by the group. The remaining hours will be held online.
Credits:	3 Graduate Credits
Tuition:	$1,600, includes 3D resin printer, hardening light and extra resin

Note: Technology cannot be ordered until a purchase order or full tuition is received. Technology delivery by the first day of class is not guaranteed for registrations received after October 7, 2019.

Course Description

The “Join the Maker Movement with 3D Printing” course is intended to provide educators with a background and basic expertise in developing projects for

students to design and create with 3D resin printers. Teachers will learn how to build 3D models and print 3D objects using a 3D printer as well as pedagogy and real world applications.

Course Goals & Objectives

The “Join the Maker Movement with 3D Printing” course is designed to meet the following goals:

1. Proficiency in learning to use 3D modeling software
2. Proficiency in using a 3D printer
3. Learning to take 3D models to the finished stage
4. Understanding Real World Applications
5. Developing a unit in 3D printing for students

Required Texts

Texts for the course include:

1. 3D Modeling and Printing with Tinkercad, which can be found on Amazon in either the Kindle Edition or paperback.
