Course Description

In this course, students will learn about Project Based Learning that is in alignment to the Common Core standards. Students will study the impact of using PBL in their classrooms, learn how to take formative and summative assessment data to measure student growth and learning, and make their own Project Based Learning unit for students at the grade level they choose.

Audience: K-8 elementary and middle school teachers who are excited about mathematics education!

Students will be able to articulate the benefits of using Project Based Learning in their classrooms.
Students will be able to identify how to use formative and summative assessments to measure efficacy of Project Based Learning.
Students will be able to create a Project Based Unit based that develop understanding of common core standards at the appropriate grade level.
