The Next Generation Science Standards emphasize the engineering design process at all levels of instruction. Engineering activities ask students to be creative and think critically while designing and building a prototype to meet a need of society. In this course, we will discover and plan ways of integrating the engineering design process in the science curriculum. This course will focus on activities at the middle school level, but lessons can be adapted to be used in any K-12 classroom.
Audience: All educators
At the completion of this course, a student will be able to plan and teach engineering-based lesson plans at any level which are aligned with the NGSS standards.
Costs for required texts, if any, are not included in the course tuition.
Required texts to be determined.
