This course will study forest natural communities in Vermont. Participants will learn to identify the trees and plants that comprise specific natural communities. The course will focus on biotic and abiotic factors that form natural communities and their biological relationships.
Audience: All educators interested in incorporating a sense of place into their classroom and curriculum. Specifically, science teachers.
Introduce educators to natural forest communities in Vermont, identify plants and trees, understand the formation and value of natural communities. This course will support educators and professionals looking to expand their knowledge on Vermont plants, trees and natural communities.
