Focused on K-8 activities this course provides a hands-on experience with different maker and coding tools that can be used in the classroom. There will be modules on codeable robots, building in 3d, glue gun art, origami, electronics, holograms and more. Students will choose the modules that most interest them, work to become proficient using the tools, and then build a classroom activity that utilizes the tool to teach learning targets.

Each module will have its own proficiency rubric attached.
Grading:
Grading will be done via 1-4 proficiency scale. For each module, there will be 2 formative check-in spots. You will be graded both on proficiency in use of the module tool & on the quality of the lesson plan. There will be a total of 6 graded modules that you will need to complete.
