A minor in Physical Education opens the door for students looking to learn about assessment plan building, understanding national and state standards within physical education, and creating physical education programs.
As a Physical Education minor, you gain experience within the physical education field. The courses that comprise the minor will educate you on how to teach, plan lessons, and develop resources. You will also learn about emergency care and safety.
You can choose two team sports courses of your interest from basketball, softball, soccer, indoor soccer, lacrosse, ice hockey, field hockey, or volleyball.
Castleton University also offers a Physical Education degree program.
These requirements are from an excerpt from the University Academic Catalog, which outlines the requirements for a student to earn the distinction of being a Castleton University graduate. The complete catalog is available online.
