Instructions for New (Transfer and First Year) Students
To view your award you must activate your portal connection on Portal/Web Services. Select 'New Users: Activate your account here and follow these steps to activate:
- Navigate a web browser to Castleton.edu/activate
- In order to activate your account, you will need to verify your identity and request a 6-digit PIN.
- Enter your first name, last name, your date of birth and your Castleton Student ID(found in your acceptance email). Then check the box agreeing to receive text messages on your mobile device.
- Select where you want your PIN to be sent; either a text to your mobile device or your personal email address. You can then enter the 6-digit PIN you received and create your password and set your security questions.
If you are unable to activate your account, please contact the Castleton IT Office at (802) 468-1221.
To check your financial aid status
- Visit the VSC Portal
- Sign in using your user name and password
- Select Student Financial Aid from the Web Services menu
- View your Financial Aid Notice
- View your current financial aid. Information for new students will be available in mid-November, if you are accepted to Castleton, and we have received a valid FAFSA.
- Select the Financial Aid year you want to view
- Select Castleton
View your Financial Aid Document Status
- View documents required to complete your financial aid file with links to downloadable documents. Information for new students will be available in mid-November, if you are accepted to Castleton, and we have received a valid FAFSA.
- Select the Financial Aid year you want to view
- Select Castleton
View your College Financing Plan
- View your financial aid information along with estimated cost of attendance figures.
- Select the Financial Aid year you want to view
- Select Castleton
