Biography
Prior to entering the field of higher education, Bill Godair served in the United States Air Force as a Superintendent of Air Mobility Command (AMC) Manpower programs. Specifically, he determined and programmed funding for AMC manpower requirements with a resource valued at $600 million dollars through the Future Year Defense Plan. He retired from the USAF in March of 2002.
Godair provided instruction in management at several institutions of higher education before joining the Business Faculty at Castleton University in the fall of 2012. He provides instruction in a variety of management classes. His research interests include investigating the use and impact of social media and exploring the relationship between Business, Government, and Society. Additionally, he leads a Student/Faculty research team where select students are given the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge which is applicable to graduate school and professional experience.

Accomplishments
- Co-authored a paper entitled, “A Research Framework for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Social Media in Business Administration Courses,” International Journal of Economics & Social Sciences, Volume 5, Spring 2015.
- Co-authored a presentation entitled, “Social Media: Classroom Integration and Preparing Students for Work Life,” which was presented at the Mustang International Academic Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee, October 9 - 11, 2014. It should be noted that all conference submissions are blind reviewed prior to acceptance.
- Co-presented a special presentation entitled, “The Role of Social Media in the Student Job Search Process,” which was presented at the Vermont State College Academic Retreat held at the Vermont Technical College on May 2, 2015.
- Faculty Mentor for a Faculty-Student Research project entitled, “Perception of Social Media in the Recruitment Process,” presented during the May 2015 Castleton Scholars Celebration.
