Bill Silengo has been the Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach at Castleton since 2016. Prior to coaching at Castleton, Silengo was the assistant coach at Manhattanville College, a Division III member of ECAC West located in Purchase, NY.
Silengo also conducted the academic guidance meetings and monitored the grades of the student-athletes on the team. The Manhattanville men's ice hockey team maintained the highest grade point average for any men's team on campus while Silengo managed the academic performance.
He also served as the assistant coach at Fredonia State in New York from 2012 to 2014. Silengo has been an on-ice instructor at Erik Nates Euro Hockey in Harrison, N.Y., since 2008, developing basic hockey skills for youth hockey players, and an evaluator and coach in the New England district of USA Hockey Select Festivals since 2012, grading the best 14-17 year-old hockey players in New England for the national festival. Silengo played for Manhattanville College from 2008 to 2012, helping the Valiants win the ECAC West championship in the 2009-10 season and serving as captain during his senior year.
