Castleton is pleased to announce that the second annual Castleton Scholars Celebration: A Showcase of Original Student Work will be held on Thurs. May 1 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. in the Informal Lounge and 1787 Room of the Campus Center.
Organizer and Associate Academic Dean Ingrid Johnston-Robledo is anticipating the event to be another huge success in just its second year with 40 presentations scheduled. "The celebration gives us an opportunity to showcase the rich variety of students’ scholarly and creative endeavors at Castleton across academic departments and programs," said Johnston-Robledo. "The presentations arose from course assignments, capstone experiences, and independent study projects, all supported and guided by dedicated faculty mentors. The range of disciplines and fields represented is wide, and the work is of such high quality."
In addition to the presentations, light refreshments will be served, awards will be given to the top presenters, and students will be on hand to speak informally about their work.
