Castleton University has earned recognition as a College of Distinction for 2019-20 for its efforts in undergraduate student success and satisfaction.
The University demonstrated exemplary commitment to the four distinctions of engaging students, great teaching, vibrant communities, and successful outcomes to receive the Colleges of Distinction honor.
“We are honored to be acknowledged in areas where we are successfully serving our students and preparing them for the global workplace,” said Castleton University President Dr. Karen M. Scolforo. “This recognition is a testament to our continued efforts to deliver a high-quality, affordable, student-centered education.”
Castleton earned additional recognition for its business, education and nursing programs. The University’s Office of Career Services was also recognized for its many resources available to students.

The annual process to select the nation’s Colleges of Distinction includes a review of each institution’s freshman student experience, as well as its general education program, strategic plan, and alumni success and satisfaction measures.
