Accounts Receivable Supervisor Betty Moyer was recognized as the Employee of the Semester at a reception held in a packed Woodruff Hall Tuesday afternoon.
In presenting Betty with the award, President Wolk said, “Betty exemplifies what it means to be a true professional. Even when faced with personal adversity, we would never know because of her great smile.”
As part of her nomination, Betty was described as “an unsung hero with one of the most difficult jobs on campus, which she performs with professionalism, diligence, and kindness. She handles many difficult situations with understanding and respect and always represents the university in a positive manner. She has an amazing work ethic, is a team player and a true role model.”
During the ceremony, Dean of Enrollment Maurice Ouimet spoke of Betty as someone who “ approaches any challenge, ready to find a solution.” Dean of Administration Scott Dikeman echoed the sentiments in her nomination, saying, “Betty has one of the most difficult jobs on campus, but you would never know it because she approaches it with such professionalism and kindness.”
Upon accepting the award, Betty said: “I truly love working at Castleton and with the students… I think they keep me feeling young. Even through a difficult couple of years, I was always glad to have your support. You could all have been given this award.”
