The Castleton College STEPS program will be hosting an informational open house on Friday Feb. 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Hoff Hall Conference Room.
Educating guests on the programs inner workings, College STEPS staff, students and mentors will be in attendance throughout the event to present on and discuss program material to interested participants. Details on program function and design will also be readily available, as well as information on the College STEPS accessibility and cost association, community partners and academic and vocational success.
The College STEPS Program partners with several local colleges and universities to support students of varying ability (e.g. autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities and learning disabilities), ages 16-26, with their college pursuits. With a primary goal of preparing students for meaningful careers and autonomy after graduation, the program allows participants the opportunity to thrive within a college environment, while receiving the additional help and support needed.
