We're invested in students’ success.
Here at Academic Support, we celebrate what happens in the classroom. We work with you to make sure all motivated students get the support they need to reach their goals.
Here's what’s we can do for you:
Teaching a First-Year-Seminar class? Bring your students over to Babcock for a presentation. We offer workshops about time management, learning styles, test taking, and study skills. Our staff members can also visit your classroom to discuss our services or lead an activity about an academic support topic. Call (802) 468-1347 to schedule a workshop or visit.
Think a student could benefit from extra help with math or writing, subject tutoring, academic counseling, or financial guidance? Email Jennifer Jones or call (802) 468-1347 to make a referral.
Questions about Graduation Standards: i.e., the Writing Standards, Quantitative Reasoning Exam, Oral Communication Standard, and Information Literacy Exam? We can answer them. We’re also a resource for students who are preparing to meet these requirements. We recommend students attempt all four standards by Sophomore year or Junior year at the latest.
A special note about the Quantitative Reasoning Exam (QR): We strongly suggest students, especially non-math majors, take the test during their first year or after they have completed their first math class at Castleton.
Students with documented disabilities may request accommodations for your classes. Learn about their rights and responsibilities – and yours – on our Disability Services page.
Here are some tips to help you make your curriculum more accessible to English language learners.
If you’d like more information, please call (802) 468-1347, email any of us, or stop by Babcock. We look forward to meeting you and your students.
