“I really appreciate all of the opportunities there are at Castleton University."
Earn your Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education through our unique, hands-on approach.
With the passage of Act 166, Vermont has legislated the need for licensed preschool teachers and early special educators, and we are poised to fill a significant need for quality early childhood education in Vermont and beyond.
Through the program’s collaborative approach, students will learn and work with professionals from a variety of fields, including school psychology, social work, music, art, and nursing. Graduates of the program will be prepared to facilitate high-quality learning experiences for children from birth to age 8.
Castleton University is working with the Agency of Education to have the program reviewed this fall through the Results Oriented Program Approval (ROPA) process to allow us to recommend graduates for initial licensure in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Educator.
