The Honors Program provides high-achieving students with a stimulating academic experience and the opportunity to become part of a supportive community of peers and professors.
This program is open to:
Honors students complete 12 credits of Honors courses, chosen from the following list:
HON 2020 Special Topics Honors Courses, Spring 2021
Music in Film (Aesthetic Understanding)
Renewable Energy (Mathematical and Scientific Understanding)
Existentialism and the Meaning of Life (World Views)
First-year honors students may take advantage of priority registration – the opportunity to sign up for classes earlier than other students. Additionally, honors students have the option of living in Honors housing.
Honors students may join the student-run Honors Council, which meets periodically to develop Honors programming and address concerns of Honors students. Honors students may also apply for the Distinguished Scholars Certificate.
