Castleton University’s themed housing is designed to bring together students who share similar interests and lifestyles. Castleton currently offers four options for themed housing, including Honors, Wellness, Service, and Gender Inclusive housing. These common interests will help you to connect with other students and to develop a stronger sense of community on campus.
At Castleton, we understand the housing assignments based on gender alone may not be the best fit for all students. We designate specific floors in several of our residence halls, which means you are able to select a roommate without regard to gender or gender identity. Gender-inclusive housing is an option for all students.
Honors housing allows you to take advantage of programming that is geared toward bridging the academic and residential experiences. Located in Audet and North Houses, honors housing is an ideal fit for students in Castleton’s Honors Program who have committed to prioritizing academics and being a role model for other students.
Students who reside in honors housing are academically-driven and appreciate living in an environment that is conducive to learning. Programming in this house includes study sessions, stress relief activities, and more.
Castleton’s wellness housing is for students who are committed to pursuing a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle. Located in South House, wellness housing provides you with an environment that is substance-free and conducive to holistic wellness. You can take advantage of programming that explores physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, and environmental wellness. Wellness housing students are expected to participate in Wellness Council meetings.
